The Reciprocal Herbalism Program
A slow, seasonal container for plant relationship
A 15-week guided herbal study experience for committed learners. Starting September 2026
A slower way to learn. A deeper way to remember.
This is not a course to binge.
The Reciprocal Herbalism Program is a 15-week journey with six foundational plants, studied slowly with reverence. This is the foundational program of our herbal school.
Every other week, we’ll gather live in community to explore one plant in depth, its medicine, story, energetics, and folklore, so you can confidently prepare, work with, and integrate each plant into your daily life, not just learn about them. Between calls, you’ll receive integration practices, prep videos, and prompts to help you connect directly with the herbs at home.
You’ll receive a mailed herbal kit with the plants we study, so you’re not just learning herbalism; you’re actively practicing it, week by week, with the exact plants we study, turning theory into lived sensory experience and daily herbal practice.
This is about more than “what plant is good for what.”
This is about reciprocity. rhythm. relationship.
And learning how to actually live that in your day-to-day life.
It’s how we begin to remember plants not as products, but as collaborators.
By the end of this program, you won’t just understand herbs; you will have a personal, repeatable way of working with them in your daily life, as cocreators.
This program runs once per year, in alignment with the seasonal rhythm we move through together.
With only 10 spots, this is an intentionally small and intimate container.
For those who want to know the plants, not just use them.
Program Rhythm
The Reciprocal Herbalism Program is designed to be lived with slowly.
Before we begin, you will receive a herbal kit (valued at $60) containing the plants we will be working with together, along with a few additional tools to help support your herbal practice throughout the program. You will also receive access to our private Discord space where recordings, resources, questions, and community discussion will live throughout our time together.
Over the course of 15 weeks, we’ll move through six foundational plants together, allowing time for study, practice, observation, and integration between each gathering. The program will also include an opening gathering to ground into the experience together and a closing integration call at the end of our time together.
Every other Tuesday from 6-8 pm CT, we will meet live to explore one plant in depth through:
herbal actions + energetics
traditional and folk uses
preparation methods
sensory experience and observation
seasonal and ecological relationship
Between calls, you’ll receive optional practices, preparation videos, prompts, and reflections designed to help you deepen your relationship with each plant in your everyday life while building a grounded foundation of herbalism.
This is not a fast-paced certification. The rhythm of this container is intentionally spacious, relational, and experiential.
FAQ

Not at all. This program is designed to be approachable for beginners while still offering depth for those already familiar with herbalism. The focus is less on memorization and more on building a grounded, personal relationship with plants over time.
-
This program is intentionally built around rhythm, relationship, and integration rather than information overload. Instead of rushing through dozens of herbs quickly, we’ll spend extended time with a small group of plants through sensory practice, preparation, observation, and connection. The goal is not simply to gather information, but to develop confidence and meaningful relationship with the plants over time.
-
All live sessions will be recorded and uploaded for participants to revisit throughout the program. While attending live is encouraged for the community experience, recordings will be available if you need flexibility.
-
Outside of our live calls, the program is designed to integrate gently into daily life. Some participants may spend a few hours each week preparing herbs, journaling, or engaging with prompts, while others may move more slowly. The intention is consistency and relationship, not overwhelm.
-
Participants will receive a mailed herbal kit containing the plants we’ll be studying together, along with a few additional materials to support hands-on learning throughout the program.

Feel called to slow down and build a real relationship with plants

Who This Program May Not Be For
The Reciprocal Herbalism Program is intentionally slow, relational, and experiential in nature. While everyone connects with herbalism differently, this container may not align with what you’re currently looking for if you are seeking:
A fast-paced or information-heavy certification course
Quick herbal “hacks,” protocols, or symptom-based plant recommendations
A large online program with constant content and high-volume material
Primarily clinical herbal training or advanced formulation work
A self-paced course designed to be completed quickly or passively consumed
This program is designed for people who are willing to move slowly, practice consistently, and build an ongoing relationship with a small group of plants over time.
By the end of our time together, you won’t just have more information about herbs, you’ll have a lived experience with them.
You’ll leave with a deeper familiarity and confidence working with a small group of foundational plants, along with a more personal understanding of how herbal practice can become part of everyday life and seasonal rhythm.
Many participants will leave with:
Greater confidence in identifying, preparing, and working with herbs
A stronger sensory and intuitive relationship with plants
A personal rhythm of herbal practice rooted in observation and consistency
A more grounded understanding of herbal energetics, preparation, and reciprocity
A deeper connection to seasonal living and the landscape around them

Why I Created This:
I’ve dreamed of a space where we stop trying to memorize plants and start truly remembering them. Where learning is slow. Sacred. Seasonal.
And where the medicine isn’t just the plants, but the way we approach them. By the end of the program, students should feel grounded in a handful of trusted herbs, more confident in preparing remedies, and more connected to seasonal rhythms in their daily lives.
If you’ve been craving a more embodied, intuitive path with the plants, you’re not alone.
