The Herbal Hearth Circle
A monthly herbal gathering rooted in seasonal rhythms, plant medicine, and embodied learning, offered in person, online, or by replay.
How The Herbal Hearth Circle Works
-
The Herbal Hearth Circle is a monthly gathering designed to be steady, spacious, and easy to return to, without pressure, overwhelm, and with no prior knowledge required.
Each month, we explore a seasonal herbal theme, weaving together practical plant education, embodied learning, and time for reflection and questions. These gatherings are an invitation to slow down, deepen your relationship with the plants, and return to a rhythm of learning that feels supportive rather than demanding.
-
You’re welcome to join in the way that feels most supportive for you:
In person, when available
Live online, from wherever you are
Or by replay, so you can learn at your own pace
All participants receive access to the class recording and any supplementary materials.
Slow, Accessible Learning
These gatherings are open to all levels, whether you’re just beginning your herbal journey or have been studying for years. There’s no rush, no expectation to “keep up,” and no prior knowledge required.
You’re invited to come once, or make the Herbal Hearth Circle part of your monthly rhythm.
-
Each gathering is designed to ignite your senses and curiosity. You’ll be invited to taste and smell the plants we’re working with, bringing herbal learning into the body, not just the mind.
Some gatherings include hands-on elements, while others focus on discussion, observation, and reflection. You’ll always leave with supplementary materials to continue your learning at home.
As you return month after month, you may find yourself meeting like-minded beings, forming relationships with new plant allies, and expanding your connection to the natural world, one gathering at a time.

Working with Anger and Heart Opening- Jan. 8th at 6:15pm CT
Part of the Herbal Hearth Circle: monthly gathering.
Anger is a sacred messenger, often rooted in unmet needs, crossed boundaries, or grief left unspoken. In the depths of winter, these emotions can rise to the surface, asking for attention and care.
In this gathering, we’ll explore plant allies that help soften, move, and metabolize anger in the body, with a particular focus on heart-centered support. We’ll work with nervines and circulatory herbs, and discuss ways to engage plants for emotional release and nervous system regulation, not to suppress anger, but to listen to it with discernment.
This gathering offers a grounded, compassionate approach to working with strong emotions through herbal practice.
You’ll leave with:
– A curated list of herbs that support anger, boundaries, and emotional processing
– Guidance on working with plants somatically, not just symptomatically
– A small herbal gift to take homeIn-Person & Virtual Tickets Available

The Wonderful World of Tinctures- Feb. 5th at 6:15pm CT
Part of the Herbal Hearth Circle: monthly gathering.
Tinctures are a timeless way to preserve and work with plant medicine, and the process doesn’t have to feel intimidating. Winter is the perfect season to learn this skill, a quieter time to build confidence and prepare for the abundant harvests ahead.
In this gathering, we’ll walk step-by-step through the process of making herbal tinctures at home. We’ll explore how to choose the right menstruum, work with different plant parts, and dose confidently and safely. Whether you’re brand new to tincture-making or looking for a refresher, this gathering offers a grounded foundation you can return to again and again.
You’ll leave with both practical skills and a deeper understanding of how tinctures fit into everyday herbal practice.
You’ll leave with:
– A clear, step-by-step process for making herbal tinctures
– Guidance on formulating and dosing safely
– A small herbal gift to take homeIn-Person & Virtual Tickets Available

Plant Allies for A Restful Night- Mar. 5th at 6:15pm CT
Part of the Herbal Hearth Circle: monthly gathering.
Many of us struggle to fall asleep, stay asleep, or wake feeling truly restored. As the seasons shift, our nervous systems often carry extra strain, making rest feel harder to reach.
In this calming gathering, we’ll explore plant allies traditionally used to support deep rest, gentle unwinding, and nighttime nervous system care. We’ll discuss how to work with herbs ritually, energetically, and physically to create sustainable sleep rhythms, without relying on force, suppression, or sedation.
Rather than chasing sleep, this gathering invites you to cultivate conditions for rest to arrive naturally.
You’ll leave with:
– A thoughtful list of herbs that support sleep, nervous system repair, and dreamtime
– Ideas for simple pre-bed rituals with plant allies
– A small herbal gift to take homeIn-Person & Virtual Tickets Available
