Plant Identification Walk & Herbal Foraging Class
Join me for a slow, seasonal walk focused on learning the wild edible and medicinal plants growing all around us.
Together, we’ll spend time outdoors identifying common local plants, exploring how to recognize them with confidence, and discussing their traditional uses, energetics, preparation methods, and relationships within the ecosystem. This class is designed to help you move beyond plant identification apps and disconnected information into a more grounded, observational relationship with the land.
We’ll talk about ethical foraging practices and how to begin incorporating wild plants into everyday life and herbal practices in realistic and approachable ways. This is not a survivalist-style foraging class or a fast-paced “plant dump.”
It’s a guided opportunity to slow down, pay attention, and learn directly from the landscape.
Children under 14 are welcome to attend alongside a registered adult, though this class is designed primarily for adult learners and older teens.
This class is ideal for those interested in herbalism, foraging, edible weeds, plant identification, and seasonal outdoor learning in Middle Tennessee.
You’ll learn:
How to identify several common wild edible and medicinal plants commonly found in middle Tennessee
Ethical harvesting and foraging safety considerations
Basic preparation ideas and herbal uses
How to observe plants through seasonality, habitat, and relationship
Details:
• 2-hour guided outdoor class
• $40 per adult participant
• Children under 14 attend free with registered adult
