A seasonal introduction to herbalism through the wild plants growing all around us
In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll meet some of the wild edible and medicinal plants growing right here in our local landscape. Through taste, scent, and story, you’ll begin building a relationship with the land, one plant at a time, while learning the basics of herbal preparations.
We’ll cover:
• How to safely identify and connect with local wild herbs
• Folk uses, energetics, and medicinal properties of seasonal plants
• Herbalism basics like how to make a tincture + oxymel
• Ethics of wildcrafting and working respectfully with the land
You’ll experience each plant through direct sensory connection and leave with the tools to begin exploring herbalism in a grounded, accessible way.
Each participant will receive:
- A live, sensory introduction to 5–6 seasonal wild plants
- A foundational overview of herbal preparation methods
- A follow-up email with recipes + beginner-friendly resources
